It takes a while to reduce and keeps its flavour if put away in the freezer. This recipe is (only) for 6-8 portions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>100ml Red Wine (e.g. Montepulciano)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>400ml Passata (canned Tomato sauce,  Dosentomaten p\u00fcriert) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 small Shallots (Schalotten)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 Garlic Cloves (Knoblauchzehen)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5 tbspn Native Olive Oil (5 EL natives Oliven\u00f6l)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4 tbspn Tomato Paste (4 EL Tomatenmark)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4 tbspn Oregano (4 EL Oregano)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 tspn Salt (2 TL Salz)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 tspn Pepper (1 TL Pfeffer)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6 tspn Sugar (6 EL Zucker)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fry chopped onions in skillet with olive oil, then add pressed \/ chopped garlic and tomato paste towards end. Deglaze with wine, add tomato sauce and everything else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cook on lowest level until the entire house smells like Italy.  Stir every now and then, don&#8217;t let the bottom get burned when sauce is already reduced.
